Jennifer D. Collins, CMP, ABC
Jennifer D. Collins is the founder and president of The Event Planning Group (EPG), and brings nearly 15 years of experience designing and executing strategic annual meetings, conferences, conventions, international symposiums and special events. She has earned the designations of Certified Meeting Professional and Accredited Business Communicator given to those in the planning and communications industries that have proven their professionalism and expertise.
Since founding the company, Jennifer has shaped the firm to service clients in three niche areas: education, science and health. The Event Planning Group has become a respected meeting management company with a growing list of loyal clients for whom EPG produces events around the country. Jennifer has also set The Event Planning Group apart from other meeting management firms by focusing on more than just logistics. Due to her communications foundation, Jennifer helps clients understand that events can be the most powerful form of communications in delivering both their brand and message.
A strong advocate of continuing education and community involvement, Jennifer currently teaches three event management-related courses at two local community colleges. She also serves as a speaker for various organizations and is actively involved on the board of the National Association of Women Business Owners-Nation's Capital Chapter (NAWBO-NCC) where she is currently chapter president.
Prior to founding The Event Planning Group, Jennifer worked for three Washington, DC-based public relations firms and a non-profit where she garnered widespread and unprecedented national media coverage for various clients. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Communication from The American University in Washington, DC.
