More than Just an Event

It’s becoming an increasing challenge to obtain – and maintain – a prospect’s attention and the importance of first impressions will always hold true.  However, while there are various forms of communication, there’s no other part of the marketing matrix as powerful as an event.  This because of their exclusive ability to bring you face-to-face with the customer.

Let’s take a simple reception as a way to target prospects.  How can you make it unique and a way to “wow” your prospects?  One potential way is to develop a related theme.  For instance, at an annual Washington dinner celebrating the space industry, there are a series of receptions prior to- and after the dinner hosted by select industry suppliers.  Given the overall business focus, our event specialists concluded a natural tie-in would be to creatively adopt a space theme.

The accompanying pictures depict the accomplishment of this goal.  The event elements and décor ‘raised the ante’ in providing guests with a unique, entertaining and memorable atmosphere.  Interactive components were also featured in guests being able to have their photos taken in front of a space-oriented backdrop as well as entered to win a raffle prize of a GPS Receiver – items that were each branded with the client's logo and information.  Incorporating theme-related décor along with an interactive component will always yield a distinctive event that guests will remember.
